“The grandeur of the setting is perfectly matched by the excellent manner in which the house is furnished. A wonderful example of timeless nature combined with the best the 21st century has to offer in terms of modern comfort. It was a joy to sit at the dining table with a drink setting the world straight while the sheep grazed reminding us that nature has always been there. “We have had a wonderful fortnight at The Longbarn. The property is luxuriously furnished and equipped with everything a guest might need. We enjoyed long, cosy days here and The Longbarn was glorious to come back to after busy days out – the sunsets from the patio !! Love the munching sheep. We climbed Snowdon, went on the Zipwire at Penrhyn Quarry, walked up Moel Famau and visited Chester and Llandudno. Highly recommend Bodnant Gardens and Newborough beach inn Anglesey as well as Conwy Castle. Thank you so much Zoe for encouraging us to feel at home. We’ll miss being here.”

“Fantastic cottage, beautiful attention to detail, even have “straighteners”. One of the best Rural Retreats we have ever stayed in and we have been visiting them since 1985. Enjoyed some circular walks including Moel Arthur and Llyn Brenig, lovely gardens at Bodnant, convenient easy walk into Ruthin, interesting town.”

It is absolutely beautiful from the materials used for the building to the soft furnishings, they have not compromised on anything. A very memorable property and stay, I hope someday to come back.”

In Ruthin we really recommend On The Hill restaurant (two tables allow dogs) + from April to September Nantclwyd Y Dre Historic House and garden – gorgeous – also allows dogs in. We’ll be back”
Upon driving long the track approaching The Longbarn we were immediately in awe, as we entered our breath was taken away, absolutely stunning, the layout, quality, detail, décor, views and more.
Close by for amenities but far enough away for peace and tranquillity. My 40th will remain with me as a fantastic break away, not just because of the company but also because of The Longbarn.
